Elevate for Humanity delivers all training through a structured career pathway. Participants begin with an eligibility and career alignment phase, where funding eligibility is determined and program selection occurs. Once eligibility is confirmed, participants enter occupational training with structured on-the-job learning. Training is followed by an employer-hosted internship or work-based placement. Program enrollment, training, and placement are contingent upon eligibility, funding availability, and employer participation.

What skilled trades programs do you offer?

Is the training really free?
Yes, for eligible participants. WIOA and WRG funding covers tuition, tools, certifications, and supplies. Check your eligibility to see if you qualify.
How long are the programs?
Most programs are 8-16 weeks. Some certifications like OSHA 10 can be completed in days. Apprenticeships are longer but you earn while you learn.
Do I need prior experience?
No prior experience required. We start from the basics and build your skills. A willingness to learn and work hard is what matters most.
What certifications will I earn?
Depends on your program. Examples: OSHA 10/30, EPA 608 (HVAC), AWS (Welding), Forklift Operator, and industry-specific credentials.
What if I have a criminal record?
We work with justice-involved individuals. Many trades employers are open to second-chance hiring. JRI funding may cover your training.
Do you help with job placement?
Yes! We have partnerships with construction companies, manufacturers, and contractors throughout Indianapolis. We provide resume help and direct employer connections.
Can I work while in training?
Yes, many students work part-time while in training. We offer flexible scheduling when possible to accommodate working adults.
